of North Central Florida

Marketing Intern: August - December 2019

During the Fall of 2019 I was lucky enough to volunteer my time as a Marketing intern for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Central Florida (RMHCNCF). RMHCNCF holds a special place in my heart not only because of their powerful mission, but also due to the fact that it was my sorority, Alpha Delta Pi's, national philanthropy. As the Marketing Intern, my primary responsibilities were composing the email list for the monthly newsletter recipients on Excel Spreadsheets, attending development meetings, and operating the Amazon Smile account which advertised what products the house was in need of. Most importantly, I wrote all copy for the monthly newsletter and communicated with our SCAD partners on the graphic design due dates. Below I've provided two newsletters that I wrote for RMHCNCF:

As Social Media & Digital Marketing Intern for 270M, I wrote multiple blog posts for 270M's website in efforts to drive more foot traffic across their website and provide useful information to their followers. I've provided two of my blog posts below:

University of Florida 

Graduate Student: August 2020 - August 2022

During my time at the University of Florida, I worked towards both my Undergraduate and Graduate degrees in Advertising and Mass Communications simultaneously. I was admitted into the Pro Master's combined degree program during the 2020 Fall semester. Below I've attached projects that are representative of my academic writing skills:

The Workplace Generational Gap: Gen Z In The Advertising Industry 

As part of my graduate program, I conducted a 10-month-long qualitative study that sought to bridge the generational gap between Generation Z and older generations within the advertising industry. Read the full report here:

PUR6934 Internal Communication

For this project, I identified an internal communication manager with at least five years of work experience and scheduled an in-depth interview (via phone) on how communications can help build an effective culture for the organization. I then summarized and discussed my findings in a two-page field research report. 

MMC6466 Digital Persuasive Communication

My group and I worked throughout the Fall 2020 semester to develop first drafts of a digital persuasive communication campaign. We applied our knowledge and understanding of research, audiences, and persuasion to develop a message strategy and creative concept for our hypothetical brand. The deliverable was a written campaign plansbook that outlined our situation analysis, research, strategy, creative concept, and executions. 

MMC6936 Digital Storytelling

During the Spring 2021 semester, I was given the task of creating a multi-media story as my final project. I chose to write about the demolition and rebuilding plans for the beloved Swamp Restaurant. Read the full story here:
